PS This site is not a Do-Not-Call site. It's people fighting back at these anal types by growing a body of information so the wary don't just answer without looking first.
I am adding that note to my former comment. I also want to add a warning.
The government has just decided that they can call people's cell phones (i.e. use up minutes) if they have a delinquent government based loan. In other words, if you owe the government and you don't pay they can call your cell phone. What to do, what to do...Oh yeah, there's my old piece of advice -DO NOT ANSWER NUMBERS YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE! Look before you answer! They can only get in touch with those people who actually answer the phone. I'd keep a studious address book in my phone and I wouldn't answer if they weren't in it, bottom line. People pick up too easily and too fast, and without looking. Man, that's easily foiled!
These stupid [***] called me on a Monday morning at 8:30...I didn't answer and never will. It really irritates me that nothing can be done about robocalls like this. I guess I'll have to buy a call blocker/screener.
I hate these scammers, claiming to help vets with your donation, what BS. The only ones they help is themselves! I doubt if a single one of these low life's has ever served their country or their community or held any kind of a real job! They need to be found and prosecuted! Jerks!
This is a scam. Man called-very pushy wanting 15 dollars. Told him I couldn't help and he transferred me to another scam artist-said her name was carlita. Please track these criminals down and prosecute. Also caller said he was connected with AT&T.
