"john" with a heavy heavy heavy accent from "salt lake city, utah" representing "I D Watch" started a brief conversation with me...asking if i was fifty years old or older. I aked who he was, where he was calling from, and what was a telephone number that i could verify his statements....he hung up on me. Obviously a scam on older people. These people are criminals!!!! Please stop them.
I just got a call from these people. I faked a heavy accent and told him I was sitting in the cubicle across the room from him and I am telling the boss he doesn't know what the he is doing, then I hung up.
I guess they thought that "ID Watch" coming up on my caller id was going to get my attention and answer the phone. Nope, just the opposite. Now I have their name in the phone as FUK U . When they call again, my phone announces the caller and it will make for a laugh out loud moment. Too bad they don't hear it. I use the same name for everyone after I Google their number.
When they hang up on you without an answer to those questions, PLEASE report it to https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/Information?OrgCode= and http://www.fcc.gov/complaints. This is clearly against the law, and if enough people complain, these government agencies will investigate.
