Got a call from this number. Call ID stated Darlene Smith. They wanted personal info and could not pronounce my name correctly. when I asked them who was calling and what this was about hey hung up.
If its your cell phone hit the *more or menu button select *block caller or number... your phone will automatically let it ring endlessly on their end. It will not go to your voice mail. Your phone will give them dead air at the end of countless rings...
I too, get this phone call 2-3 times a day, no one ever talks. Evidently, I am lucky for that, ! Caller ID always reads Darlene Smith, but no message and no one talks. If I reach my frustration level and try to call back, I only hear automated voice say "good-bye" How I wish this was true, the good by part and I really wish there was a way to stop this.
I have had the same issue for the past week and half. I finally blocked the call and now they figured out a way to get through with a four digit number. I played along just to see how far he will go but without confirming any information and once I told him he was disturbing a lot of people, he hanged up. He had given me the same US treasury story giving me $8000.
