I got the same call, same schpiel/script as Alexandra, but I didn't pick up the phone and let it go to voicemail. For a while, I thought these people had better accents, but this man called and I could barely understand him! Caller ID said: "!052797796" but the man told me to call 404-478-6349.
I got a call from this number +0000 when I answered it, a person with a heavy accent asked for me. I continued with the phone call and was transferred to the individuals supposedly supervisor who informed me that I had a payday loan that was not paid. I informed the supervisor that I needed a letter from his company stating that I owed them money. I think that it's a five or ten day letter. The supervisor informed me that I did not send a letter for the loan so there for I don't get a letter for what I am suppose to owe them. When I told them that it was by federal law that I am entitled to a letter to tell me what I owe he proceeded to tell me that no he does not. I then told him that it's kind of funny that the intial person who called had a foriegn accent and he had the exact same accent. When I asked the guy about what company he was calling from he told me that he was calling from the state of Georgia. He finally told me that the company that he was supposedly representing was Credit Inquiry Litigation and that the number to contact them wil

I don't believe it. The SAME man called me and this time tried to disguise his voice by lowering it and making himself sound mean. (Why am I surprised? They call all the time!)
This time, like Alexandra, the Caller ID showed "0000"
I am also receiving phone calls from them -- he said if i do not call him back i will be in a big legal mess and will be in trouble at home or work. What is with this. First of all, i consider that a threat and according to the FDCPA, it is against the law for a collector to make threats, if, he is in fact a collector.
i just received a call from this people threating me about a debt of somebody that they supposed i know. any body knows if we can take legal action against them?
