Who called from 4044813807

Received a call from this same number moments ago.  The individual asked me to verify the last 4 digits of my social.  I asked her to verify the last 4 digits of my social since she had the legal documents.  I proceeded to tell the individual that I knew that the call was a scam. She became aggravated and hung up in my face and told me to "explain it to a judge".

I just got a call from these people claiming that they are from data check systems and are persuing a check that I supposedly wrote to an ames department store over 25 years ago and if I didn't pay them now that it would be attached as a wage garnishment and it's from a bank that I have not even had an account at in over 25 years....don't pay them it's a scam!!!! Ames dept store has been shut down for over 20 or so years now and there is nothing left of them at all.

As a Community warning guys, I was getting calls daily from these people and I just rejected their number. Starting today they started using 678-503-5470. I've made a post on that number so it seems its a fairly new number.

Very interesting conversation!! They are claiming that I owe $30- something for a bad check. Here are the HIGHLIGHTS of the conversation-
The check that I "bounced" was from a bank that I had 23+ years ago!
They stated that the debt was "charged off" by the bank in 2007!
The grocery store that the check was written to, is in a state that I have not lived in since 1999 (and never held that account when I was there!)
When asked for "proof" that I owed them money, that THEY held my account for that debt, he got very frustrated and began to threaten me with legal action. (ALWAYS ask for proof of a debt, most can't provide it!)
Someone at my old address (17 years ago) will be getting a nasty letter from their legal dept!
What scares me, is all of this information is on my credit report.. they were just too stupid to put it together correctly!!  I will be checking to see WHO pulled my report in the last few months!!

Google says the site may be hacked.  Scammers might be using this and other groups as CIDs.
