They keep calling my parents and I was told they were taking their number off their list but they keep calling everyday. What else can we do to get them to stop? They first called about a hot check and now it's about a car that we do not own, ugh!
I keep getting calls from this number.... 404 492-5229. Has been going on for weeks. Whenever I get a call from this number, I also get a call from 1-800-841-4000.
Okay folks, it's time to fight back! If you have a smart phone, mine is an android, download "Call Control". It's only a few dollars, but worth every cent! It has given me an incredible peace of mind. No, I am not connected with them at all. Just got tired of unwanted calls interrupting my busy schedule.
Once I get a call from a number I don't recognize and they don't leave a message, guess what? I block them. I may research the number just to make sure it's not someone I need to speak to, but 99% of the time, they're not. I set my settings to block the number and to hang up automatically so they can't even leave a message. That way they can't crowd your voice mail with non-messages. I also set my call control to not even notify me when a call has been blocked. The only time it does not work is when you are talking on your phone when they call. But that is very seldom. Believe me, it works. It takes only a few seconds to block an unwanted caller, but a tremendous amount of bliss. Aah! Silence is golden. Screw the [***]! Oh, and you can forget registering on the National Do Not Call list. Those pukes couldn't care less about it and unless you have a lot of time to follow up on unwanted calls by reporting them, it's just not worth the effort. Don't be a slave to your phone and unwanted solicitations, debt collectors, and fraudsters!
They call every single day. It is a recorded message when I answer, and I don't get to tell a live person to stop calling me. They are in violation of a couple of FTC laws, i think.
