I got a voice mail asking to call back. I did and they wanted to verify my personal info before they tell me their reason for the call. I hung up.

COLLECTION AGENCY ASKING FOR A CALL BACK.  GETTING VERY TIRED OF THE NUISANCE. Especially annoying because I have an unlisted/unpublished number and also they are asking for someone who does not live at my home.

You may want to send them a letter notifying them that they continue to call you even though they've been told they have the wrong number. Then inform them that they are to "cease communication" with you and that you'll pursue legal remedies if they fail to comply. Just be sure to send it via certified US Mail with a return receipt request. That should do the trick; but if it doesn't, lower the boom on them in court.
