got a call from this number saying to call that it was inportant to call back right away and to refer to a case number and to ask for agent couldn't understand the name
Tell them you only do business by US postal mail.
DO NOT give any personal info !!
If they say that they cannot give an actual street address, then consider it a SCAM.

I received a call from an "Agent Sterling" telling me I had to call him today at 404-564-2992 Ext 2522. He also called an acquantice of mine because she was listed as a reference on something and that they were coming investigate her and arrest her for fraud. When I called him the man was very beligerent and kept threatening me and refused to give me the information I requested. When he finally told me it was a BMG loan I tried telling him I paid these already and that I was not giving him any information or agreeing to anything until I had something in writing. He then called my place of employment. When I saw what it was on the ID I didn't answer it. He called six times in a row. When he transferred to another extension and another employee would not give him the information he asked for he was very hostile and threatened her as well. The company came up as ARSS. Needless to say the man was cursed out by myself and the other employee wasn't very nice either. He kept telling me everything was recorded and I told him I could care less. What step can I take for this harassment to stop? If I owe the money, I will pay it but not until I get the information I requested to make sure it's ligitimate or that's it's not something I paid off already.
