Who called from 4045668244

Just got a call from this number. Did not leave any message. Another telemarketer?

Someone called saying they wanted us to pledge money for some new york police dept. that the funds was stopped and if we pledged money they would send us a badge or something like that.

Since they called us, and we didn't call them.. we figured it was a scam and hung up and blocked their phone number from calling us again.

We have windstream telephone service with selective call blocking.  To use it Dial *60 then when you hear the operator, press # 4045668244 # and then hang up.  The number will be added to your selective call blocking service.

This number called me yesterday. I wasn't home and just saw it on Caller ID later. Now I know I should ignore it.

What was the point of getting on the Do Not Call list anyway? None of these telemarketers pay any attention to DNC.
