Received my first call few hours ago. No message. Caller ID said "Atlanta, GA". I don't know anyone in Atlanta, nor the entire State of Georgia, I AM on the (useless-as-mammary-glands-on-a-bull) "no call" list, so it went right to the call block list on my Panasonic phone with call blocker. Bye bye.
This number 404-593-0877 has called me 5 times in the last 2 hours. I don't know who they are because I never answer, and they never leave a message. The very first time this number called me was last night at 11:30 pm. Yes that's right, 30 minutes before midnight. My parents are in their late 80s and in very bad health and I freak out every time the phone rings that late at night.....for obvious reasons.......I always expect bad news when the phone rings that late at night. This number called me that late, are you freakin' kidding me, almost gave me a heart attack. I thought it was illegal to call that late.
I do not appreciate robocalls that won't release the line. Most can be made to hang up by pressing a bunch of numbers, but this one wouldn't. I hung up, and the phone rang again with the robocall still playing. When it was done, I pressed "0" trying to get to a live person, and instead it started over. Not cool at all, and certainly doesn't do their cause any favors. Not to mention, what if someone has an emergency and has to dial 911 while one of these is tying up their line? It's not real likely, but someone could die because of robocalls like this. It should be illegal to hang onto the phone line like that, political call or not.
