Called saying has message that someone in household has diabetes. Individual sounded like he was a telemarketer from India or Pakistan similar to tech support calls.
Called 12/28/09 and asked for my husband. (Indian/Pakastani accent) Told unavailable and asked who was calling. Said Senior Health Network. Told him we were not interested; take us off list; do not call again. Said he would comply. We are on approved DO NOT CALL REGISTRIES, but these scum keep getting through. Have also been targeted on e-mail with current money spam/scam sleaze-bags. Nothing stops 'em and government agencies are impotent. Best to just turn off ringer and check missed calls a few times a day for legit callers. Thankfully, we are able to Google numbers. Don't ever open any unfamiliar e-mail. Mark as spam and delete at once. The world will not end if ordinary people cease to be available 24/7.
