Katie Scott called claiming I would have to appear in court in New York because my name and number were on the back of a bad check written there. She said the charges were being filed in New York and the company that received the check was based out of Atlanta. She gave me a case number and everything. She told me it may be linked to social networking and if I could figure out if I knew the woman to call her back. I called her back and told her I did not know the lady and asked who she worked for. She said Nationwide Investigation. She also said my number would be removed from the "system" since I didn't know the bad check writer. It was all a little fishy and after some research I found out she's a scammer. Take your mobile numbers off of your Facebook or other social networking accounts so that she can't use your number or your friends' info to run the more serious scam of saying you owe money!
Katie Scott has called me several times from this number asking for money i "owed" on a pay day loan in 2009 and if i didn't pay day $647 i would be arrested. This is a scam and its a cell phone she calls from but claims she from a law office. I dont know a law office that operates with cell phones. She didn't want give any info about the "law office" such as the address or another phone number, she got an attitude when i asked. Don't trust this Kate Scott person.
Katie Scott is a scam she called demanding money and threatened to put a warrant outdoor my arrest if I didn't pay. She said the bail would be 3500 dollars. She said I wrote a bad check and I don't even own any checks. She claimed the date was may 9 2009 for x amount of dollars. She said I needed to go to Wal-mart only and send a moneygram. This is a scam beware she is also claiming to be affiliated with Maricopa county. I called the bank about a bad check and they said the information was false and that there were no chcks written to a paycheck advance company.
Katie scott call my family members saying I have been a victim of a identity fraud and I need to call her . If u was and her supposably a private eye then why didn't she call me and not them. I found out this woman is quite the scanner!
