Received a call at work from a person Identifying themselves as investigator Humphries. He said I owe money to a company I never heard of. Then he said he is going to have a warrant issued for my arrest for accepting money for a payday loan and closing my bank account. I don't know what he's talking about. I aksed him for information and he told me to call him back at his number and he would pull up my file. Why he couldn't do that while I was on the phone I don't know. He told me I owed money from 11/14 and then he said oh sorry I meant 9/15/08 2004. He said I owed $900 when I called him crazy he said actually it's $450 but with legal fees and interest it comes to $900. Whatever. I'm contacting the state attorney general's office and the FTC
Well i got the call today and they are very convincing. They have all your information....name address last digits of your ssn, claiming i owed money to a debt collector and if i didnt set up immediate payments that they would be sending someone to my county with a warrant and to my work place(not sure if they knew that too or not) but they just wanted a mastercard or visa card to collect the debt! like a dumb-___ i gave them a schedule to start paying it. Thankfully my husband has a brain and we got the card canceled before they took anything. Don't fall for it like I did.
My dad called to tell me I received a message from this number on his answering machine today. He said his name is McPherson and he has a case number of a check complaint in my name and is needing my atty info or a statement from myself. I havent used checks on my bank account in years, so this is definitely [***]. I was a debt collector for almost a year and a half for an atty, so I know my rights. Dumbass, I'm gonna find you, and when I do, it's on!
