Big Scam -- Caller ID says "CompuCredit", but it is not... it is a robo call, sophisticated voice activated -- long spiel about law enforcement officers insurance program, soliciting funds -- when you ask a question, it then reverts to a 'canned answer' -- I asked "How much of the funds go to the actual law enforcement agency, and how much do you keep for administrative costs"..... Robot said 'great question'... and then hung up.... T H I S I S A S C A M !! Do not give these thieves any money or any personal information -- they only give pennies to the dollar to law enforcement -- if you want to support L E Agencies, give to them directly, not to these leeches that keep 90% or more of the money !
Called to solicit money for National Police and Trooper Asso. to help families of deceased law enforcement officers. Sounded like a foreigner, so I asked where she was calling from. Was told Birmingham, AL, but number is a Sandy Springs,GA number. Supposed to send me a packet in the mail. Should not have given my name and address, but will see what comes and will not send a contribution, but to get a name and address for the solicitor.
The caller keeps calling us about once everyday. We finally decided to answer and they said they were a money management firm that funds pledge drives and a automated voiceover that talks about telethons. I don't have time for this
