The old "your computer has a problem'...."I said this is a scam and do not call here again or I will report you to the authorities and guess what HE hung up. Beware folks they are everywhere. Perhaps "MJ" is who issues these #'s.
I have gotten two calls from the same scammer (with an Indian accent) claiming to work for Microsoft and telling me that my computer is sending error messages to their servers. The funny part is that my computer has been turned off for at least five months. When I told him that, he hung up.
For some reason, lots of calls about computer virus originate from Atlanta with the area code 404. I got one yesterday and ignored. Look at the nicely "shaped" number: 777-4567. Before this one, I ignored 999-1234.
Received call from this number on house phone and then a minute later same number called cell phone. India accentedmale flaming to work at Microsoft wanted to access my CPU. I hung up.
Got a phone call from this number and actually called it back. "This is a nonworking number" was the response. This person called me during rush hour on my cell phone and they called me Mrs...to my boyfriends name. They wondered if I was sitting in front of his computer right now as they were supposedly calling from Dell computers stating he had some malware illegally loaded on there and that we needed to fix it right now. I told them I wouldn't be home for another hour. They actually called me back 2 hours later and I wasn't home but I pressed them with questions and they ended up hanging up. The day after, which was yesterday, I get a phone call from a different number 786-484-7199 asking for my boyfriend again but this time its for a legal case and he is to call back this Officer David Chambers. I took down the message and see on here that this one is a scam as well.
