I just got that call from the same number when I told him I was broke and couldn't pay he got mad. He said if I paid $200 I could be put on administrative hold then dropped it all the way down to $25. Come on now I work for a collections company and I know a law firm CAN NOT process payments. He told me his first name but wouldn't tell me his last. I told him let me investigate myself today and if I did have a loan then I will pay if not then good luck.
A scam artist from phone number (404) 804-5705 tried to get my checking account info by lying about some fraudulent activity on my account (which was false). Be careful as he tried to sound professional, but is just a low life thug. He called from a Verizon wireless cellphone.

Got a call from a guy saying criminal charges would be processes against me for a bounced check, and that I would owe 5 times the amount. I knew right then that it was a scam because California law only allows 3 times the amount.
This is a tele-phishing scam where these fraudsters search public record databases and look for any information they can use to try an get yout to verify your private information. The caller said he was an investigator for GCR and Associates, LLC and he was trying to reach a person so that he could verify name and address to be served. I asked who he was and he became hostile and resistant. He finally gave the name, Don Perry (as in Don Perignon???) and then proceeded to read off some federal statute and fictitious case number. He even mentioned a relative of mine. I asked him who the Plaintiff party was and he would not tell me. He then attempted to get me to verify the last 2 digits of my social security number at which point I ended the call. Watch out! These crooks can be very convincing and may try to get at you via your more gullable relatives and friends. Remember the Golden Rule: NEVER TALK TO STRANGERS.
i recieved a call from this firm , and i also thought they were a fraud until i was served with the papers. I had to call that guy Pary and attempt to resolve i feel violated for being investigated but im glad i had them checked out, I found out the hard way that they are real.
