Ashley called, said I won 1 million dollars and to please verify my name..I said You called Me, you tell me my name. A 'robo' voice spelled my name and when I mentioned this, she hung up. SCAM!
I received a call from this number and it showed up as Atlanta Ga. The woman calling told me the call would be recorded and that she was with DMS (?) Marketing. Her story was that she was conducting a survey to see if I qualified for a free cruise. I let her know that I wasn't interested, she pushed a little to see if I would change my mind. I said no, she wished me well.
I think this is likely a scam, but at least the caller wasn't the usual rude telemarketing scammer.
When I picked up the automated message said "Hi this is Janis, calling on behalf of Janis Marketing, can you hear me okay?" I hung up before it went any further. Another great feature if you have an iPhone is to block the number. Even if they call, they can't reach you.
