Yes I got a call from Bloomberg processing out of Atlanta Georgia I was out of town when they called my family ex-wife etc. I don't know what to think at first they had too much information social I did not owe the bank that they said owed I did pay them the money they requested the money gram and later I did my own investigating and I came to find out that this is going on with a lot of people throughout the country I'm wondering how can I get my money back I'm on Social Security and $617 was a lot of money Feel like I was a victim of a crime
Its from a company called Bloomberg Firm.. Michael Goldstein is the 'Chief Litigator"..Supposedly.. I unfortunately fell for the threats of taking me to jail if I didn't pay them that day.. I called him and asked for more information regarding the institution I needed to pay and he couldn't give me a number to call. I was duped!
Yes this is a SCAM do not give out any information. They will threaten you will the police, under the law you can request documents showing your fees. If not do not pay!!!
I have recieved a phone call about threatening to go to jail for a crime of check which i have no idea about from 3 years ago he stated gonna sue and had all my info of address and social info. stating i owe chase bank, and chase is suing and he said was able excuse it if i pay moneygram kinda odd why moneygram it dont feel right, is this a scam? i recieve a email from michael goldstein saying to call,therefore he sent me an email stating proof info but the attachment looks fake showed a website but clicked it was not a valid website at all. and the phone number is a cell phone line.
Report them to your state's Attorney General and the FTC. It IS a scam - legitimate debt collectors must send you a debt validation letter showing original creditor, amount you borrowed, etc via US postal service - NOT via fax or email. Next time they call, tell them you've reported them and know they are scammers. Do NOT send any money to them.
I was a part of this fraud the thretened me saying that I was going to have a warrant for my arrest if I did not pay them the amount by moneygram I hope this people get caught and brought to justice please help us
