Received call but didn't answer call because I didn't recognize number. I never answer if I don't know the number. Stop them. I am getting tired of this and so is my spouse getting calls. Reported them. STOP!!!
Well, that was really strange. Yes, it's a "we'll reduce your credit card rate" scam, trying to get your credit card number. However, when I pressed one, something very strange happened - I got merged with another call between an agent and someone else! So, of course, I listen in on the call. They were trying to get him to sign up, for a "financial program" for a 1 time program fee of $1499. He asked if they were from {Major Bank}, and they stated they were third party called "Bella Solutions" and would same them $2500 in interest and fees. I was ready to scream "Scam!!!" at the phone, but the guy got cold feet and them to forget it. Good for him.
Several people here have mentioned that the initial telemarketer sounded foreign. This guy sounded more American, and given the conversation, was more of a "Closer" than the initial agent. So it may not entirely be a foreign scam.
There's no obvious "Bella Solutions" searching Google for something of this sort.
Held onto the line for a while to see if maybe I'd get crossed over with another call, and an agent picked up thinking I was a new call. He hung up and called back from 319-225-2084. Wanted the expiration date and the number off the back of my card.
Just received a call from this number. It's supposedly to lower interest rates on my credit cards. I don't have any credit cards so I pressed 1 to speak to someone & when I asked the guy to remove my number from their system he hung up. Sounded more like he slammed the phone down into its cradle. Very rude.
