This is a scam. They say you have fellony charges and to call them back. When they call back they say the warrent will be issued at 3pm that day. They offer to talk to the DA for you. When they come back on the line they transfer you over to someone else to take you money for bail. And you never hear from them again. If you tell them your lawyer wants to talk to them they hang up.
They called me today and said the same thing and she asked to me verify my DOB and I told her to verify the warrant! We when back and forward..then she got upset with me and said they will pick me up..I told her..you know where I live pick me up!
Got a call 2 days ago saying the exact same thing. They called my phone and asked for my daughter. Reporting this the my state attorney general's office. The are calling from 202-499-2042 and leaving 404-4891-5219 as the call back number.
Received a phone call this morning from a (Attorney) Frank Johnson from the number 1-202-499-2042 stating that there were 2 felony arrest warrants for me and that my bond was $35,000. When I called back a male answered the phone saying Attorney John Green's office. Why an attorney out of 202 would be calling my area, which is not where I live, didn't sound right to me. He kept saying I should turn myself in or he'd have someone come and pick me up. I asked what this was in relation to and he could only give me abbreviations and no real facts. I said this sounds like a hoax, he said only if I ask for money...Like someone else would be asking for the money.
Sounded official but I got a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach that something wasn't right. Would like more information on the 202-499-2042 number.
