Calls from CONTACT CENTER (callerid) have come in every day twice a day for the past week. I answer the phone, pause and say hello one time. No one was ever there. Today I sneezed after I answered the phone so I was a little more delayed with my Hello and I actually heard a voice!
His name was Darrell and he was with CIO Magazine or something wanting to speak to my IT manager. I asked what the call was regarding and he said it was regarding the subscription to CIO Mag and I said we did not have that magazine and he said he needed to update infomation regarding our subscription. I told him again that we did not have that magazine and were not interested in it. He said okay and was actually nice about it. Most other magazine people sound so upset when I tell them I don't want their junk magazine. For goodness sake SAVE THE TREES!
This number called me yesterday and I picked up, but there was no one there.. They called again just now and I once again picked up, no one there for about 6 seconds and then someone asked to speak to me. He said he was from "CIO Magazine" and was trying update my subscription (which I have not signed up for). I told him I wasn't interested and to be removed from their list.
They must have some sort of automatic dialing system and once the person pickups, it gets queued to some operator...
