Says they are with the department of labor, though the phone number cannot be verified on their website. Whether this is legit or not, they are going about this the wrong way. They constantly call asking for employee information/point of contact but we won't provide them any information since we have no way of verifying who they are. Even after telling them we're not helping them they continue to call. First my personal phone, then work. Before I blocked their number they were calling multiple times a day.
Very insistant person from the US Labor statistics asking for employee totals for certain weeks. VERY RUDE PERSON for something that is supposed to be voluntary!!! We declined to participate since it was not manditory to supply information, but she kept calling and calling until she got the owner of the company and he decided to give her the info to shut her up!
The sad thing is this report will not show the reality of our unemployment situation in this country because they only ask about a current week number of employee's, what about the 16 that were laid off last month!!! I guess they don't get counted
They call the business phone first, if you don't answer, they will call you home number !!!!!!.
Even after I told them that our business is dead and we have no employee to report, they still want to send me document to fill up and they are going to call me again to help me fill it out.
