Recevied a call this morning from a "Roman Anthony Sanchez." He said he was calling on behalf of his client. Clearly reading from a script and mumbling the entire message. I get these scam calls all of the time.
Actually, 'zombie debt' collectors do try to collect on debt that has already been paid OR they will fudge the information around to make it look like a similar debt you may or may not owe. Then, they lie about the consquences; going to jail, showing up at your home, etc. etc. Anything threats like this are ILLEGAL. They stay in operation because they aren't legit and no one can find them! One tried to scam me and I had given my bank account information; turned out they were scammers and my bank refunded my money. Any legit debt collection agency can be found online.
Anyway, this Roman Anthony Sanchez called me again today from 404-900-5165, this time saying there was a serious allegation with me and that he had a file with my name, birthdate, and SSN. Then he said this was a "white collar matter." Notice how he didn't same 'crime?' Last time he called was 09/05/2014 and didn't mention anything about 'whilte collar" - he just said there was an intentional default. I'm sure his next call is going to be more threatening.
