I got a call from this number saying the same thing. I called them and spoke with Mr. Haines. He was an [***] but I did have a couple of loans out. I was skeptical at first but they had all of my info and once i took care of it I got an email that verified that they were legit. Wish I would have never waited so long to pay back the loan. It cost me almost twice the amount I borrowed.
This is a collection agency trying to scare people into making payment on scam loans. If they persist record the call and file a complaint with your local police and the FTC
I was contacted by Mr. Haines this morning at 10am informing me of a payday loan from 08. Tho the debt is real, I don't believe these ppl are. I was give 2 hours to come up with the money or they said they would have an arrest warrant sent out. After freaking out I decided to do some checking. They have no website I could fine and the phone number was attached to several different names. When I called back I spoke with Cory Fox and asked him for a website or anything he could give me so that I could validate the company. He got super mad and said that he was tired of talking to me and was going to send out the paperwork. In my opinion, a company with that name should certainly have some sort of info to give me. I found nothing when I put the numbers in the better business bureau website. So do your research before you pay some crazy amount of money to a company that can't provide you any info on themselves.
