These jerks are trying to collect a debt that is in dispute with TRANS UNION.. I actually spoke with a woman at Portfolio Recovery and told her that Trans Union is investigating and she say well just pay it now and if its in error we will refund your money.. YEAH RIGHT! SCAMMERS..
Portfolio is a sad, sad company. I don't know how they make any money, because I don't know who would be dumb enough to give these buffoons their hard earned cash. Just contact the law office via email, they'll send a questionnaire to see if you qualify to be added, and you're instantly added to the list of names if you qualify. It's still early stages, but I wanted to do SOMETHING. I've been harassed by these a-holes for years, for no reason.
I have a payment arrangement with one company. These [***] had the audacity to call and tell me that the company sold my debt to them and that I now have to pay them. Well, if that is the case I asked, "why did I never get written notification of that and why am I continuing to make payments to this other company that they are accepting?" They said that I am wasting money paying them. I told them to stuff it and they stopped calling for a long while; yet have started again. What [***]!!!
Even when you have a lawyer and they tell these people to lay off they do not .They call at all hours of teh day and night and are rude to the extreme . I am also getting calls from them for someone I don't even know and they insist I give them a number and then when I said I don't know the person the man called me a damn liar . I told him not to call here again .
Wow. Search the web for a number and this is what I find? I just got a call from them again. I was just hired in and took over a position from a friend of mine. I was provided a company cell which was my friend's while he was working here. They have called and left five or six messages in the past week looking for him. I have not used the cell phone much until the last two days. When it rang (about 25 min ago) I did not recognize the number and searched on it. I now see a lot of people are in the same boat. I'm just not going to answer. But I think Porto has a cool idea. Throw a party and have fun with fart noises!! Love it.
