I just received a call from these [***]. They are calling me in regards to an NSF check on a payday loan to ACE Cash Express taken out in 2008. I told them I have filled bankruptcy and gave them my case number with my attorney's name/phone number. 1 hour later they try to call again. They tried to tell my bankruptcy law does not apply to bad checks which is BS!

This company is using illegal tactics. They may have a name of someone who owes money, say: John Jones, There are many John Jones' because it is a common name. A "John Jones may listed in several towns, cities, etc. John Jones may owe money, but they will try to get any "John Jones" to pay the debt that is owed by only one John Jones. By getting you to verify a social security number, they will assign the debt to you, whether you owe it or not.
