Yet ANOTHER number from "American Children's Cancer Society," MOST LIKELY the re-making of a fraudulent organization announced as charged by the FTC and 58 law enforcement partners as shams (charitynavigator.org). Unfortunately for them, they called before 9am, the recorded announcement cut off so I called back I got to hear the whole announcement and hit "1" to be put on their DNC list. I made this notation when I reported the number to the DNC list but I'm also going to see if I can alert the FTC directly, as I did with 770-415-1322. (Both of these, instead of the 888 area code are in my metropolitan area and, despite being robo dialed, they ring through.
A similarly-named organization, The National Children's Cancer Society, is legitimate but probably has lost donations given to the fraudulent group(s).
