Call received at 9:53 am EDT on July 27, 2012. Despite the fact that my phone number is on the national do not call list, and despite the fact that I have explained to the collection agency on several prior calls that I am not responsible for my former wife's American Express account. I refused to confirm my identity with my address or social security number. The collector revealed the name and amount of debt they are trying to collect which I feel broke financial privacy/confidentiality laws. I pulled my credit reports and verified that I have no American Express links with my former wife.
