Called me cell at 11:41 am. Didn't recognize the number, so I answered expecting a spammer. I was right. "Hello, this is Lisa with the Green Study Survey Company and you have been selected to receive a free cruise to the Bahamas. So congratulations! You have heard correctly. It is a cruise..." [click! I hung up! Added it to my call reject list.] I then called back from my landline (first blocking my number by dialing *67) and got a recording saying that the survey I was called about has now ended. Yeah, right! It's all a scam, folks! Never, EVER, press any numbers or enter your number to remove your number from their list. It only confirms it for them.
I got one this morning. It was a telemarketer saying he was with GE Home Protection Services. He tried several different ways to get me to say "yes" on the phone, like, "Can you hear me?". He asked if I would be interested in a free home protection installation. When I said "No" he immediately hung up to go to the next hoped for sucker.
