I don't like to answer un-identified callers. But, I find my credit card company and verizon call un-identified, don't leave a message and then use it as an excuse...we tried to call you.
This one was over before I had a chance to even read the caller id. But, I received an email just after.
Honeywell Service Response Center… I got a very rude person who said it was regarding my Dayton Power & Light (DP&L) weatherization & Energy Program. I told them I was on PIPP & she got VERY defensively and rude. So much so that I told her I would just contact DP&L directly regarding their program... Well that did it! She yelled that she would note that I refused the team entry and I might lose service because of it and hung up!!
I called DP&L and they never heard of them - don't listen to their spiel!!
Got a call today from 404-982-2984 telling me that because I am on PIPP (Which I am not) that I HAVE to allow their inspectors come into my home and see what kind of free weatherization they can do. I told her that I work with PIPP and several other programs helping people and had never heard of it. Lady started getting heated, telling me that yes I do have PIPP and it's a new program and she is telling them to cancel my PIPP since I wont allow access into my home. Told her whatever and hung up.
The number that called: 404-982-2984 is indeed Honeywell. Because I blocked this number previously, I decided to come here and check it out. When I saw the majority saying it was for an installation of thermostats, I called the number back and got a very pleasant female who answered the phone with "Thank you for calling Honeywell, How may I help you." I told her that I had received a letter from Con Edison, etc. etc. I was supposed to receive a call to set up appointment. Since their phone number comes up on caller ID as Unknown Name, I had blocked the call. She told me a rep will call be back in the afternoon and I told her since I blocked the number, the must use my cell number. I agree with Shi above, Not malicious or a scam. Would be nice if they had proper caller ID.
