The people using this phone number are operating a scam. Hang up and do not talk to them. He or she is going to try to get money and/or personal information from you by telling you that you have won a large amount of money. It is fraud.
They called saying naughty things and asking where im from and who am I. They kept calling and calling. Dont answer them!; he said his name was jake someone had given him my picture and I was "hot"
PC Doctor called from 1-305-999-9960 stating the program they sent me wasn't working and needed to be removed and I'd be refunded the money I'd paid. Sadly I fell for this scam because he had the exact information I'd been told upon getting PC Doctor from Microsoft.
When I couldn't hear nor understand well a guy named David called me from this 4052416117 number. While talking to him, other calls were coming in all with the 241 prefix: 7844, 6352, 7851, 7845, 6349, 6344.
They also asked me to press the Microsoft key (bottom left by ctrl) and 'R'. He has me type in www.showmypc.com. He wanted to be have access to the computer so the program could be removed. This was the process used for installation.
He asked for my bank name and I said he didn't need it. He said they did so the $ could be returned. When I said the name, he confirmed it and shortly thereafter he said to type in my password. When I said something about them seeing my info he said they could only see the desktop however when my acct info showed up he was able to see the last four #s of each acct and amount.
David then said they would transfer back $200 instead of $149. I questioned h and he said it was now going to be &200 and to forget what was said previously. The money would be coming from India. WITH SO MUCH OUTSOURCING BY CORPS IN USA! I thought the company was based in India. He told me the screen would go black during the processing.
It blinked black and white as I saw all kinds of numbers and charts coming on the screen. I'm trying hard to watch the amounts in my account when the amount of $2000 flashes. I had an acct with that amount and started crying. I told him he was scaring me.
When the flashing stopped, $2000 had been ADDED to my acct and not $200!! Now I have their money and David is scrambling to get it back! I was feeling utterly sick
