I believe this is one of MANY calls I've been getting since we applied for our USDOT Number.
With in SECONDS of clicking "Submit" on the website, calls from all over the country have been pouring in.
Now I don't even pick up numbers I don't recognize.
Even if I WANTED to do business with one of these companies, I wouldn't because of the MASSIVE amounts of spam Telephone Calls and Faxes I've been getting.
I've had to start reporting these calls to the FCC and the SPAM Faxes to the FTC (Or Vice-Versa, I forget offhand who goes to whom.) since my telephone number is on the National Do Not Call Registry.
So, if you work in the Transportation Industry or have recently applied for a USDOT Number, this call was most likely those sh*t-bags trying to rip you off or solicit your business.
NOT THE WAY TO GET MY BUSINESS THOUGH, THAT'S FOR DAMN SURE!
Those calls are from process agents to file your boc-3 form,which IS required for your number to go active.They ARE NOT spam calls and if you do not choose one of those agents calling you then you basically just wasted 300 dollars because your application WILL get dismissed if the boc-3 form is never filed.If you looked at your congratulations page after applying you would know this is a requirement .So I don't see how you can call someone names like that , that are trying to do YOU a favor by letting you know of your requirements.
