IRS tax scam. Upon answering the call, there was a brief pause, then a recording about a tax refund. This is a scam; the IRS addresses tax issues in writing, via postal mail. They do not initiate communication by telephone.
(illegal) total robocall. Some BS about "defending me" from my tax debt, and IRS "problems" blah, blah, blah. What 'tax debt'? What IRS 'problems'? I don't have either one! Once I realize what these calls are about (I was expecting a call from my attorney - that's why I answered), I just hang up. Unfortunately, there's no use cussing out a robot.
