Phone rang once, I answered and they hung up.

Same as the rest, one ting then hang up. They are "fishing" for people to return their call, so they can claim a business relationship.

Just received the same call as described...one ring and then hang up. no VM. Fortunately; I don't call back number that I don't recognize or leave a message. These calls are terrible; the people behind them need to get a job!!!

Number 405-421-0879 rang once at 9:29 AM on 02-22-16, then hung up, no message, not text, no call back....annoying once again on my cell phone.
