Have received calls daily from this number for the last 3 weeks. Shows up on caller ID with the number but no name. Usually, there's also a message on my answering machine that says "We're sorry, that call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again." Occasionally, I can see the call from caller ID but there's no message. I answered the phone once from this number and they hung up. A reverse look up says this number is a Cox Telecom, Inc. landline out of Britton, OK.
I, too, have been receiving calls from this number on a daily basis. The few times I did decide to answer the call, I would simply pick up but not say "hello". No one would respond on the other line. I am currently on the FTC No-Call list, so I don't understand why I keep receiving calls from this number. I don't just want a venue to complain, I want to know what to do about these calls!
I've gotten 42 calls from 405-463-2451 in the last two months. Sometimes they call twice a day, and they never leave a message on the answering machine. I am also on the FTC No-call list. I called the number and they said they are Meyer Associates and they are calling on behalf of a nonprofit association. Nonprofits are not stopped by the FTC no-call list. They said contact them at www.callmeyer.com to remove your number.
I've been receiving calls from this number for about 2 weeks at my work line (in a Kansas state office). I'm glad I Googled this because I thought it was a vendor trying to sell me something I don't need. I always ignore out of state messages and call them back if they leave a voicemail - and this number never does.
I'm going to answer it next time and find out who it is. I hope it isn't the Democratic Party because it's not legal for them to be calling a state office to request donations.
A person called and asked how I felt about Obama's agenda, vision for America or something of that nature. I told them I was not one bit happy with Obama and his record. He got argumentative with me and I was getting ticked off. Told him not to call me again. I said good bye and hung up the phone.
Tonight the jerk called back and started in asking me to send Obama money and some other double talk.
I told him there is no way I would send any money to support Obama and if I were to give any money to Democrat, it would be to support a local candidate.
Most of the time I am a very nice guy and easy to get along with that guy really pushed my buttons.
Got two calls from this number within 24 hours, called the number back at 5:05 pm their time and got an answering machine offering to remove my number from their calling list. Hopefully it works.
