Have received several calls from this number. Caller ID says Vera Alfredo. I do not answer when I don't recognize the name and/or phone number that is calling. If they want to talk to me they can leave a message on the answering machine. I think the telemarketers are getting humorous - using Vera Alfredo - a combination of Vera Miles and Chicken Alfredo? Who knows, who cares. I'm just sick of getting these asinine calls when I'm on every do not call list that is relevant to my area. It seems as though at certain times of the month I get more telemarketing b.s. calls than at others and they all seem to come in a cluster of days or even a week or so. It's strange - but you can count on it every month or so - lots of b.s. calls and then they will stop for a bit and start again. And the government's inability to do anything about making the phone companies allow an unlimited number of blocked calls for their customers to use against these telemarketers - well gee, kind of makes you wonder who is REALLY behind all the b.s., doesn't it? The more calls that are made, the more money the phone companies make whether the calls are telemarketers or legal users. The phone companies don't care just as long as they get their money. So what can we, the legal consumers of telephones, do other than sign up on the Do Not Call list and sit and twiddle our thumbs waiting for something to happen that we know is never going to stop these unwanted calls? I'm so sick of the government's promise to rid us of all these unwanted calls and yet nothing seems to be done about them.
received nine calls spread out over two weeks from this same number. he also spoofs many other numbers in the series 405-xxx-xxxx - probably dozens of times over a single month with the same area code, same guy, different number. all are telemarketing calls. somebody needs to sue this guy. he's fishing for an easy mark.
