I received a call from this same phone number plus two others, #360-718-9951 and #312-380-0163 saying that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me and I should call right away. I was nervous when I first heard it but then realized that it didn't sound quite right. I looked up the phone numbers and did a trace, all three of these phone numbers are a scam, please don't fall for it and warn as many of your friends as you can.
I work for a tax business and today I had a client call in about this number. She said that they would show up at her house to arrest her if she did not make a payment today! DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE PLEASE! The IRS does not make personal phone calls to people and they certainly do not show up to arrest people. THIS IS A SCAM! If you have been contacted by these people either notify your tax preparer or the IRS. Hope this helps!
cant anyone do anything about this type of call being made, they are driving my 85 year old mother crazy and she is stressing I keep telling her not to worry and they call back another day and the process starts all over again!!
Block the phone number so your grandma won't get the calls anymore. I just got a call but the IRS is not open at 6:30 pm and they would notify me in writing if there was really a concern. Please tell her that if it is not in writing on official government paper then she has nothing to worry about. Scam!
