This is a common scam. There are hundreds of scam companies like this one and World Market Events is just another one among the wide timeshare scam net. They would offer to timeshare owners to rent their property to potential buyers and would “guarantee” the deal. In my case that would be Ocean Blue and Sand from H10 Hotels. Locations are Dominican Republic and Mexico. Of course after fake contract they would ask the “monies” $989.00 up-front for Mexican Certificate Research on my property.
I didn’t pay a penny and neither should you! I knew this was a scam and I know as soon as somebody makes this first payment there will be more and more requests for the “monies” under other stupid claims. These scam companies appear and disappear every day by hundreds. There are the same people just changing their names, name of the company, and the cheap websites. This is easy to do and requires very small amount of “monies” to invest. All they need is a very simple and cheap website, a phone number (not listed) and some office equipment.
The first victim covers all the spending for this scam “enterprise” and the next one already brings pure profit. No matter what is the name of the company they all use the same once-created fake contract. They would hesitate to communicate through e-mail (e-mail is a legal document) and prefer calling you on the phone. They would barely speak any English and there will be plenty of misspelled words on their website. Be aware!!!!! Just take a look on what a crap they sent me last time after numerous of calls they attempted which I simply ignored. Good luck and be vigilant! The simple rule against the scam is: DON’T EVER PAY ANYTHING UP-FRONT!!!
