And any time you see something said on the Internet by someone who doesn't use his REAL NAME, it is a lie. ALWAYS.

Seriously, there are so many explanations on the board and elsewhere about why YOUR phone company displays a city and a state instead of a name that it just isn't worth explaining again. Go search the internet for the difference between caller ID (CID) and caller ID (CNAM) and learn a little bit more before you start posting "infallible" rules here again.
BTW, this is just a comment in response to the immediate parent post. I am trying to help stamp out this urban legend rather than comment about the phone number.
