405-757-2311 man with an Hispanic accent calling from Oklahoma City area, stating he is with UT Phone service. (This is the phone company I do use) He states that UT Phone is going from analog to digital and they want to give me a free box of some sort and come out and hook it up. He said after a certain date, I will no longer be able to use the line going from my phone to my wall jack.
I started to ask him then how will it be hooked up? He said my phone will be plugged into the box he wants to give, me to get service. So, I said where is the box going to be plugged into? He didn't know, then said 1 minute and came back and said it will be wireless. So, I asked him where is the wireless signal going to be coming from for this service? He said he didn't know and he would go talk to a supervisor and then call me back...
I am calling the main number right now to see if this is true or not...well after 15 minutes wait time it went to a recorded message taht the company was closed now and to call back tomorrow. I will try to update what I find out tomorrow.
