Someone from this number called my husband's cell phone. When he answered, there was no response. Then immediately the same number called my cell phone and it was someone saying they were from the United States Department of something or other that I could not understand. When I told him I could not understand what he was saying, about 3 times he hung up. When I tried calling this number back, I got a Verizon recording saying this number had been disconnected.
Got a restricted call then right after got a call from this #. They both hung up. My wife(her # is 1 diget diff, than mine) got a restricted call and said it was an overseas tellamarketer and could not understand her so she hung up and didnt answer when they called back
I got a call from this number at 9:11 am central time. I had to say hello a few times before they understood me or responded. He montioned something about being from the United Stated Department of something or other then offered my a $7,000 interest free grant and I immediatly hung up. He had a spanish accent and sounded like he was in a busy airport or something. Sketchy, Hang up immediatly!!!
Got a call from 1405-832-4539. Answered, a woman with a very thick Latino accent said she was calling from the "National Government Grants Office." I said the US government? She said yes. So, I asked her for her US Employee ID Number. There was a long pause, and she said "Why you want that?"
"Because I want to make sure I am talking to a representative of the US Government."
"You no need that."
"Oh, but I do. Now give me your USEID."
Shouting) "I no give you nothing! I don't give you big grants we have. You nothing! F*** YOU!" and she hung up.
I've never had a US Federal employee speak to me like that. Should I file a complaint? LOL!
Definitely a phishing call. I'm sure that she was ready to award me a large grant, and I would have to do is give my bank account number so they could make it a direct deposit.
Have been under cellphone attack all week. This one called, along with 212-444-6661 and 253-246-8511. I also got 10 or 12 Restricted yesterday. Worst of all, my Verizon call block does not work.
