You probably work for the a-holes. I'm not even close to suicide, and I've had lots of medical debt due to multiple surgeries. These people are the worst I've ever dealt with, and if you are okay with the way they break laws to do business, then you are just as much an a-hole as they are. I pay the mother f@ckers $100/month on my 10 year olds psych bill and they still harass me on a regular basis.
A women called and started to ask for someone and then said this is and called me by my first name. Then told me I had a bill in their collection and stated my husbands first name stating a bill was for him and then stated had a bill for our daughter. I informed her the hospital had never billed us. She then gave a out of this world amount for our daughter stating it was owed on her. I informed her our insurance paid all except the deductible. She then said yes that is correct that is the amount (naming my husband again) I informed her we paid deductible at time of service. She then stated that he only had $ 5.00 at time of service. I asked her not to yell at me and she stated it was normal voice my 7 year old stating that lady was yelling I heard her clear over here. I said I know. My child stated I didn't hear her when you started talking. I told her several times not to yell. I then told her I would call the hospital and verify. She laughed and said you go ahead and do that.
They have been calling me for weeks. The first time, I answered and they explained why they were calling, and demanding the money I "owe" them. I politely told them I had no idea what they were talking about just to have the lady accuse me of lying. Now, my voicemail doesn't say my name, and when I answer I NEVER admit to being myself unless it's someone I know. They are horrible, rude people and need to be shut down. I researched them online, and apparently they are well-known for violating the FDCPA [Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.]
Today and Asscociate of Janna Ferrell and Asscociates called my work.Risking my job .I resently got a divorce last November and had a mental break down .I tried Suicide 4 times in one month .I was put in a chemical comma for three day at Muskogee Regional hospital.I Owe 4 Hospitals and Four abulance services all together.I never called or requested an Ambulance or Medical help.I was unconscience upon arival at these hospitals.I had a D.N.R. card in my wallet.They did bother to even check, they got my name from The I.D. in my wallet.So They must have seen the D.N.R. and ignored mywishes to die.The next day they were wanting thank youes from me for them saving my life.I said why ? You saved me just so I can be in even more debt.I am tryin to cope with alot of mental problems brought on by P.T.S.D. and other stresses.Now I have Jana Ferrell and associates calling my job .I explained to the lady on the phone the last hospitalization was due to suicide.She said that I owed a bill to Tahlequah City hospital for $18,000.00 in total for todays debt and a debt of five years ago.I told her I offered to pay the hospitals what I can afford and still servive.The Hopsitals themselves said it wasn't enough.I can only afford $10.00 to each of them a month and still pay my living expenses.They refussed to accept my money as if it wasn't no good .They keep threating garnishment of my pay.I survived suicide lose of my marage and family for this life.Death for me is still an opption.I just wanted to put it down here that if I do lose it ,one more push over the perverbile edge ,there will be a record of the hows and whys. Life is no worth living in the U.S. when the hawks and buzzards circle you as you lie bleeding.Maybe one day this will change but as long as Medical help is in private hands of greedy people and greedy government nothing will change.Why not go out with a bang and take a few of them S.O.B.s with me.(lol) Gotta laugh to keep from cryin'-Mojo
Ugh! They keep calling. I went to urgent care in Tahlequah in 2007 and paid my deductible in full. I was sent from urgent care to Tahlequah Hospital to get an x-ray at the time I offered my insurance to Tahlequah Hospital and they said urgent care already had it. So I get my x-ray and go back to urgent care. THREE YEARS LATER these people start calling me saying I owe for the x-ray that my insurance confirms they already paid for!
When I spoke to these people it was a man who yelled and cussed at me. He told me I was a silly little girl and needed to pay my bills like an adult. I'm 24 years old and I do pay bills. I just restrict my payment to ones I actually owe. Silly me. I explained to him it was paid and offered to talk to my insurance to confirm. I wrote down his contact info and called my insurance. They said they paid it and faxed me confirmation. I called him back and asked for his fax number to fax that information to him. He said there was no need because it was probably just something I fabricated. At this point, I told him I was done talking to him and any further communication was to be done through my lawyer. I then gave him my lawyers information and hung up. I then immediately contacted my lawyer to explain the situation. I faxed my lawyer what my insurance had sent me and he told me to not speak to them anymore.
These idiots are still calling me! A few times I answered just to tell them that I've retained a lawyer and all communication must be done through him, but they still try to talk to me.
If these people are calling you, skip all the crap and just get a lawyer. They can't do anything until they talk to your lawyer and you probably don't even owe them anything to begin with.
