Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
An automated message (female) on my answering machine today; said the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me & "to get more info. about this case file", I should "call immediately on our department number". Do they really think I'm going to fall for this?
Got a call from this number this AM. My iPhone captured a number from Romania 40 58872695. Then it changed to 405-887-2695. I called the 405 number back and got a central asian mail most likely a Pakistani or Indian accent threatening a lawsuit. Told him the IRS dose not call people about a lawsuit all contact is in writing.
