Called a second time, within minutes, but this time blocking their number so it showed up as "unknown number".
The caller asked....." for the names of whoever would be your billing director or patient's claim director".
Clue the Red Flag; if they don't know, they're phishing.
When I asked who is calling please, she stated her name and nothing more.
(honestly, it's like pulling teeth with these people!)
So I asked who she was with/where she was calling from.
She appeared less than cheerful and mumbled "Claim Logic".
Do these type of Callers even realize that more and more Agencies are instructing us, their Phone/Clerical Personal, to not reveal ANY info over the phone?
LEAST of all names; it's too easy for someone to use a name, ANY name, as a 'wedge' to infiltrate where they are not needed and worse.
