For the past couple years I'd receive several calls per month despite telling the caller I had already refinanced my VA home loan to a lower rate. I have been blocking the number for months but they still call. I've unblocked the number in order to tell the caller that I have recently paid off my mortgage. I'd like to see is the calls continue despite not having a mortgage.
Called me, but I did not answer. I called them back and the second the words "Hey, you guys called me nine minutes ago" left my mouth, they hung up. Do not trust at any cost.
Guy told me he was from The Veterans Benefit Organization and wanted to explain to me what benefits I might be entitled to as a Veteran, including refinancing with the VA Guaranteed Loan Program. Imagine his surprise when I said to him, " I am fully aware of your bogus organization and what you really do because I WORK for the VA as a Benefits Counselor, and the VA has initiated an investigation about you!" CLICK! I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants!!! Oh.....I wasn't lying either! I DO work for the VA in the capacity I stated!!! LOL!!!
