This number keeps calling for one of my employees and refuses to stop calling no matter how many times we tell him to stop calling and he gets very rude.
Just got a call from this number and like the above person said, the caller was talking really fast. She said she wasn't calling for any money but wanted to advise me not to renew any magazine subscriptions from anyone else that may call because I am already all set with the $3.99 magazine service that I pay per week right now. I asked her what she was talking about and that I don't have a magazine service and she hung up on me. I think she was trying to trick me into signing up for a magazine service or something. I hate those fast talking slick con artists! Can't imagine why someone would want to do that for a job!
Received the same call as Kelly a couple of nights ago, some guy telling me not to renew my subscriptions if anyone called me, because I was already enjoying the benefits I received through their company at the great rate of $3.99 per month for up to 60 months (which is a pretty poor deal, btw). I asked the guy what magazines he was talking about, he said "oh, great magazines like Women's Day, Rachel Ray (something)" and some other ones (I couldn't understand what he was saying). I said "I don't subscribe to any of those magazines." He said "oh, you don't?! Sorry to take up your time" and hung up on me before I could ask any other questions. I used *69 to get the number, called it back, got the shady sounding voicemail.
It's important for people to know that in some states, just a verbal "yes" about buying a magazine can be considered a legally binding contract, and a company can lock you into buying something. These shady salespeople know that, and will try to trick you into buying something you don't want!
To everyone that gets unwanted sales calls, if you are on the do not call registry, they are in violation of a federal law. I filed a complaint with the FTC. Please file a complaint with the FTC or these companies won't stop.

We get several calls from this number (406-290-0028; caller ID states call is from Columbus MT), and they never leave a voicemail. Finally answered the call today - the guy asked for someone who wasn't home and said "We'll just call back" as if he knew us and was a friend. When I asked to take a message, he said it was a "courtesy call" but instantly sounded shady and hung up quickly.
Got the call from 406-290-0028. I've seen the number before and looked here a few weeks ago. What I did today was let my 7 year old answer it at the same time I did! We (my son and I started) chatting about phone manners, and the sales guy hung up!
