Caller asked for the lady of the house. Then asked for her by name (from an old phone book listing I suppose), then said I would do just as well. She (the caller) then began reading from a script (obviously) about making a donation via a pledge card. After me saying no twice she persisted in pushing for money and I hung up.
Same calls as above. They called 5 times today. I finally answered and the caller stated that I had pledged 20.00, would I please pay it now. I told her that I do not give my credit card over the phone and that I never pledged any money. She then said she would send it in the mail and to make sure I payed it. The calls are from the Breast Cancer Society. Bad ratings all over the internet. The only one that gets any money from them is the CEO, James Reynolds.
This place says it is a Breast cancer place. They always call between 8pm and 9 pm at night. Mostly they hang up on me. The one time they did talk they asked for a man, I said sorry they had the wrong number and they said nothing just hung up on me AGAIN. I called em back this time, the recording called Breast cancer people victims not patients. That had me thinking it is a scam. Then I could not take my name off their calling list or leave a message unless I had a donation number or a credit card. And when I tried to leave a message anyways it said its message box is full. I am so sick of these calls. Can't anything be done?
