I got an automated call today basically telling me they were going to garnish my wages for an account. I followed the prompts and spoke to a Mike Bell who then proceeded to tell me I owed x amount and how I had frauded my account. He had my name and social security number! He said he was calling on behalf of a particular company. A company I had a loan with and got sent to collections for but just recently settled and paid off. I explained that I had already paid off the account and he asked if I had a letter stating that. Which I do. He said that I could take that paperwork with me to court. I'm already dealing with an attorney about another "collection agency" that was harassing about this same account. I called that attorney and he asked for this new company's info. I call back and I ask to talk to Mike Bell again. I ask him for his name and his firms name and my case number. I asked who he was trying to collect money for and he named off this particular company. He again told me that he was going to giving the Feds my social security number so they could find me and serve me with papers. He added how much it would cost me to go to court. He then said that I could pay $300 something to avoid this. As I was continuing to ask questions he hung up on me. I contacted the attorney I've been working with and gave him all the info. This is a complete SCAM! Do not give anyone any money. Have them send you everything in writing 1st.
Received a call from this number. tried to call back but they did not know who I was. Spoke with Mike Bell, he was very rude and hung up on me afterwards.
got a call early this morning, since I didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer, a recorded message was left 5 5 you have been notified!! Ya, don't call here again...
They tried to come after me for a loan that "I" supposedly borrowed in 2012. I kept asking them questions on the situation but my question were dodged everytime. A lady claimed that if i didnt pay within 30 seconds ($3,000) my card was going to freeze, my car and my families cars were going to be taken away. Oh, and the cherry on top, I have 5-7 business days to leave my home. When i said it wasnt me who took out the loan she said she was going to take money from my daughter and son as well and I asked her why and what for and her response was "because I can." She kept raising her voice and getting an attitude when i asked more questions about the loan. They had my address, mine and my kids SSN and every info about the cars. Ive reported them to our local sherrif because scammers should NOT have all the personal information about you. They are now investigating this because no one besides offical companies should have that. And these people were not official. I asked them multiple times which company they worked for and they said they werent allowed to say... Okay???..... My son called them again after the lady started yelling and hung up on me and now she was claiming the law suit was about the cars, not a loan... My son said he would pay and they immediately changed their persona and gladly said "we take visa, sir" but now I'm wondering if its about the loan im suppose to pay back (in 30 seconds) then why would I send the money to them, a company who didnt even want to say their name.
Again, do NOT give these people money!!!!
(i apologize if theres any typos here, I'm still slightly worked up over this.)
