This man calls and says he needs to deliver a package to you, and instead of delivering to your work please call 866-307-6897 and reschedule to deliver at your home. When I asked who was delivering the package he said I am...I'm with US Courier Service. When I asked who was sending the package he said CMS. When I told him this sounded like a scam and hung up he called me back 5 times in a row and left a message telling me that now I've proven what my character is like, no wonder I have legal papers waiting to be served. He then rattled off my name, my ex husbands name, my address with my ex husband and my DOB. He said "see, why do I need to call you if this is a scam and I have all this info?" Call them and reschedule or don't, I don't care, see you Thursday between 3 and 5." He had already called my brother earlier that morning. Afterwards he called my mom, my dad, and my AUNT (like I've ever put her down for any kind of contact on any kind of account) and told them I needed to either call and reschedule or I'd see the delivery happen at work. He then called my work and did the same.
So I called the 866 number and asked who they were and what kind of business they were. "I can't answer that ma'am"
Where are you located? "Why do you want to know that ma'am?"
I'd like to send you a letter of inquiry...where should I send that? "I can't give you that I'll have a supervisor call you back. Do you have a tracking number?"
I don't have a tracking number. I just want you to stop calling me. "we don't make calls ma'am".
Well your delivery person does...so I'd like to know what you are sending me and ask you to send it in a different manner. But I will be asking in writing, please give me your address. "I can't do that ma'am"
Okay, what kind of business are you? "I can't answer that ma'am"
What does CMS stand for? "Certified Mediation Services
But you can't give me your address? "No ma'am"
He then hung up on me.
This CMS company is a total scam and I'm pretty sure the guy calling from 406-552-0172 is sitting in the same office and using a spoofed number.
