They call several times a day sometimes where a computer voice asks for someone with the last name of "Lawrence". The voice says to press "2" if I am not this person. I press "2" and just get air. The call does not disconnect and after several minutes, I hang up. When I call the number back, they say they don't know why my number is being called, but that they will remove the number. They continue to call day after day. This has been going on for at least four months. The company is First National Collection Bureau, Inc. out of Sparks, Nevada. I asked and then demanded they stop calling me. I was given the name Eliseo Souza, VP of Operations (800-824-6191) and told he was the person to talk to who could end the harrassment, but he's always "in a meeting". I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau's website http://www.bbb.org. My suggestion: file a complaint with the BBB, then call the 800 number and ask for Eliseo Souza and tell the person you were referred by others who have filed complaints online. Keep calling this jerk every day, several times a day, until he takes your call!
I have received at least six calls from an automated dialer at this number in the past three weeks. Sometimes, it left a partial voice mail message asking me to call 1-800-824-6191. I assumed it was a debt collector because I answered the first call and hung up immediately after hearing the words "We are looking for".
Today, I decided to call 406-552-0351 back. The first attempt, I got a recording of a SITone followed by a message. The recording was repeated, then the phone rang once and I was disconnected. I called again and a human answered. She identified herself as an employee of "First National Collection". I told her about having received calls and that I have no debt. She said she would remove my number from her list. We'll see.
